Police launch murder probe after a charred body and burnt motorcycle are discovered in Kulim, with two suspects arrested to assist the investigation.

KULIM: Police have launched a murder investigation after a charred body was found next to a burnt motorcycle at Ladang Anak Kulim.

The discovery was made by a member of the public who had gone to the area to catch birds.

Kulim police chief Zulkifli Azizan said the individual stumbled upon the scene and subsequently lodged a police report.

Authorities traced the victim’s next of kin using the motorcycle’s registration number.

The family reported that the 77-year-old man had been missing for four days.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Two men, aged 22 and 68, have been arrested in connection with the case.

Both suspects have been remanded for four days until April 1 to assist with the investigation.
