Ever noticed you’re less likely to successfully “fish” for your dolls from the claw machines? How far would you go to make your money’s worth?

A Malaysian man recently made only 1 attempt to get the dolls from a claw machine, and here’s his “cheat code”, according to a video shared in the Facebook group KL吹水站.

After putting the tokens into the machine, with the strength of Hercules, he tilted the machine a little when the time was right, and the doll escaped the grasp of the claw right onto the pick-up door at the bottom.

He was so happy that he gave the doll to his partner before putting in another token for another attempt.

He was adapting to the situation to achieve his victory.

With the same “modus operandi”, he won himself another bear and everyone around him cheered! The store owner, however, was not happy about his victory. To him, it was cheating.

“If you’re a sore loser, might as well don’t play. No one forced you to buy the tokens.”

The customer returned home happily with his dolls and netizens, on the other hand, felt that it was uncalled for that the store owner made the CCTV footage public.

A taste of his own medicine?

While they did not condone what the customer did to win easily, they believed the owner shouldn’t be upset, given the claw machines themselves are rigged.

“So, is it considered cheating when the claw opened by itself before it even reached the dropping hole?”

“You rigged the claw machine, so are you the sore loser? If you’re a sore loser, don’t run a claw machine business.”

Another netizen questioned the point of making this matter viral and said the customer was merely thinking of an idea to win something he deserved, which he paid for.

“I’m not saying what he does is right but every time I buy the tokens and return home empty-handed, can I make lodge a police report for this?”

“Yes, he’s not right for doing so. But can I make a police report for not getting anything at all even when I have bought the tokens?”

“What’s the point of posting this? For the sake of a few dolls?”

“So, only the store owner can cheat but the customers can’t?”

To those who have been disappointed by countless tries at the claw machines before, what do you think of his method? Do you think it’s unethical, or do you think he deserved to win something as a paying customer?

In the meantime, you can watch a TikTok video by @clarkatie who exposed the rigged business of claw machines, and make your judgment.
