Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, better known as Khairul Aming, is a popular and beloved figure among foodies thanks to mouthwatering recipes that he shares on social media and his numb-inducing Sambal Nyet.

Aside from that, he’s also known to be an extremely generous boss, as seen in a recent video he posted on Twitter.

Wanted to reward employees

In the close to 2-minute video posted last Friday (Apr 7), Khairul told his staff that the factory will be closed for the day and that he had a special announcement for them.

It turned out that he had an array of activities for them during their day off as a reward for their hard work and celebrate the Sambal Nyet’s massive success.

As of August 2022, a million bottles were reportedly sold out and raked in over RM14 million in revenue in just 1.5 years.

This is not the first time Khairul Aming has made headlines for the exceptional treatment of his staff, where he once organised a two-day staff retreat at a resort, booking at least 17 chalets for the occasion.

‘I want to join too!’

Khairul’s act of generosity has garnered a positive response from netizens, with some jokingly explaining why he should hire them.

“Mr Khairul, I feel 60 employees isn’t enough. Need 61 instead. I’m a hard worker and I only took an MC during the 4th year of my job.”
