Chelsea have asked after Denzel Dumfries during talks with Inter Milan over Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea and Inter are in talks over Lukaku's return to San Siro this summer.
And La Gazzetta dello Sport says Chelsea have registered their interest in Holland fullback during negotiations.
Any deal will be struck independently of the Lukaku transfer, with a swap ruled out.
However, Dumfries is a target for Chelsea, where they're seeking a new fullback signing as Marcos Alonso pushes to be sold to Barcelona.
Dumfries, with a contract to 2025, joined Inter last summer from PSV Eindhoven.
