Chelsea assistant coach Anthony Barry will serve two masters in the coming months.
The 36-year-old, who has been at the club since 2020, is assistant to coach Graham Potter.
He will now be serving in a dual role with the Portugal national team.
Such a role is not unique for Barry, as he worked with the Ireland and Belgium national teams since being at Chelsea.
Barry will only work with Portugal when there is an international break.
Given he is not responsible for work outside of coaching the first team, he is unlikely to miss much when he is with Portugal.
