
Former Chelsea managing director Marina Granovskaia walked away with 35m for her role in the sale of the club.
Granovskaia's pay off has been shown in the club's accounts released on Saturday.
The former director was swiftly moved on by new chairman Todd Boehly, departing in June. Chelsea's accounts for the end of the financial year state Granovskaia was paid 35m for "services relating to the sale". They also show an operating loss of 235m for the 2021-22 season.
This sees Chelsea's overall losses reach 1bn so becoming the first Premier League club to ever break the barrier.
Chelsea's accounts also confirmed a staggering spend of 368m on new players and staff last summer.
