Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has offered more information about the club's injured shot stopper.

The Blues are reeling after learning that goalkeeper Robert Sanchez may be absent for several weeks, as he suffered an injury in their recent game against Everton.

Sanchez's recovery from a knee injury will take time and will not be rushed, according to Pochettino.

He told reporters: It's an injury that is going to be for a few weeks, but I don't know if it's two, three, four, five or six.

We are going to assess day-by-day; there are things that we need to follow.

His recovery will depend on him and the reaction from his knee. So it's difficult to say it will be two or three weeks. We will see. We hope he will be back as soon as possible."
