Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino admits he's spoken with Raheem Sterling about his England omission.
Sterling was again ignored by England coach Gareth Southgate for his latest squad selection.
Pochettino said, "Yes, but it's hard to talk because what can I say? It's hard to talk about.
"The only thing we can do is support him and try to help him perform here, and then it's not our decision.
"He obviously has to perform well if he is to convince Gareth, but what I say to him is no consolation.
"That's how football is"
