Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino endeared himself to the press during a news conference this week.

The Argentine coach was asked about the facets of the Premier League that he missed while being at Paris Saint-Germain and then without a job.

Pochettino, whose team take on Liverpool on Sunday in their first game of the new league season, praised the media and English football's competitiveness.

He stated: I miss you. You all, not you, sorry, because always a good relationship with the media. Sometimes you are not so nice but you are very respectful with our job.

I miss the Premier League because of the organization and it is really competitive.

'Every single week is competitive, every single game, even when you play the cups. It is really, really competitive when you play League One, League Two or Championship teams.

The fans live the game, when you go away from this environment you feel a little bit lost because football here is amazing and how people and you the media translate to the fans, it is a perfect combination for me which makes it the best league in the world."
