Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino admits that he is waiting for news on Reece James.
The right-back and club captain is once again absent as a result of a hamstring injury.
Per football.london, James could be out for months instead of weeks and faces a battle to play at Euro 2024 for England.
"At the moment, no, we don't know," Pochettino said on James during a news conference.
"At the moment, it's Monday and there is still time to see [if James will have surgery].
'I think in the next few days we will see and we will know the options."
