Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has told his young players they must earn their place.
Pochettino is known for working with young players.
But he says: "Not just because they are young but if they deserve, not because they are not going to create problems if you have them in the squad or bench.
"If you want to play Chelsea now is a situation where you are not going to compete in Europe but I think it is a period where we need to deserve next season the Champions League. The option is to win, it is not to be good. For that we need good players.
"If they are young and good enough they will be in the squad. Not because they're easy to manage, I don't want easy players to manage. I want player s that can perform on the pitch and bring good things and to help the team to win. I don't want people who are easy to manage, I want people who can compete in the best way and have the capacity to bring success."
