Chelsea boss Graham Potter has defended the form of Marc Cucurella.
The summer signing from Brighton has struggled for consistency since his 60m arrival.
Potter said, "He has had some things off the field, family-wise there have been some things that have been difficult for him.
"So there are many factors.
"Sometimes people just see the guy on the pitch and judge him based on that. But all sorts of things happen in his life.
"I know Marc well and I know Marc at his best. He is a top player."
