Chelsea boss Graham Potter admits he's speaking to Enzo Fernandez through a translator.
Potter says the 120m is being considered for tomorrow's derby against Fulham.
He stated: "I've been involved long enough to know that there are some things you can't control and from my perspective, I couldn't do anything to change things. So I found out when it was done and I'm very pleased because we've got a fantastic player and I'm looking forward to working with him.
"We'll see. We've got to go through the paperwork and he needs to get clearance and all that. I've spoken to him. My Spanish isn't great and his English isn't great, so we needed a translator, but we'll get there. He is an impressive young man and I'm really excited to work with him."
Asked about how their January arrivals will change the team, Potter also said: "It's a combination of a few things. There is a youthful dynamic and you can see the direction we've gone down in terms of the type of player we've tried to sign. We're trying to build something for the now and the future and it's always about how they help the players that are here and how we lift performance.
"We've had a pretty unprecedented injury situation to deal with here and so lots of things have happened. We hope we've learned a lot in that period, gained a lot of strength from that period, and as I say we can attack the second half of the season with positivity."
