Chelsea boss Graham Potter would not comment on the situation around French star Christopher Nkunku.
The Blues have been extremely active at strengthening their squad since the Todd Boehly takeover.
They are now being linked with a move for Nkunku next summer, with reports in the British press stating the deal could be agreed now for him to join when the season ends.
Asked about the matter during a pre-match press conference, Potter stated:
“As I've said before, my answer is that I don't speak about players that are Chelsea players. If you want to ask about Chelsea players, I am happy to speak about them. It was the same at Brighton, you get linked with a lot of players and there are a lot of names out there.
"And you can imagine it gets escalated when you're at a club like Chelsea. But I will speak about Chelsea players and not comment on anyone else."
