Chelsea boss Graham Potter was asked about the lack of time he is receiving to coach the team on the training pitch.
Known for his hands-on coaching and ability to improve players, Potter has been contending with an injury ridden squad and games in quick succession.
More than one match a week means less time on the training pitch to work on patterns and tactics.
Asked about this issue after a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, Potter told reporters.
“All the periods have been critical because even though we walked into the washing machine in terms of games, Champions League, a condensed schedule before a World Cup, it was a unique situation. And as we went along key players kept dropping away and we were struggling for stability and any real confidence that stability brings.
"You learn a lot from that even though it is not nice as I've said. We've had to deal with what we've had to deal with, it's pretty unprecedented I must say. The next period of games, I think we have some time and time is always valuable for us.
"We'll use it as best we can. I understand timescales people work to are short these days and people have short memories, but we keep having to work and trying to improve. That's what we'll do."
