Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is determined to land RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.
Sport1 says Tuchel has put in a personal call to the Croatia international about a move to London this month.
Chelsea raised Gvardiol's name with RB Leipzig in talks over Timo Werner's potential return to the Germans.
Tuchel has now followed that up with a call to the player.
However, for the moment, RBL have no immediate plans to sell Gvardiol.
