Reece James has paid tribute to departing Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino and his staff.
It was agreed for the Argentine to leave on Tuesday.
James was named club captain by Pochettino and posted to social media: "Thank you for everything boss. We had a fantastic relationship from the moment we met. I never played as much as I would have hoped under your management, something I regret but also something that wasn't up to me.
"You believed in me and you gave me a great responsibility when many others doubted me.
"A special mention also to the staff who had a huge importance: Jesus Perez, Toni Jimenez, Miguel D'Agostino, Sebastiano Pochettino.
"Thank you all and good luck to the future!"
