Chelsea challenging Liverpool for AC Milan midfielder Bennacer

Chelsea are challenging Liverpool in the race for AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.

Reports last week confirmed Liverpool were interested in the Algeria international, who came through Arsenal's academy.

Calciomercatoweb says Chelsea are also looking at signing the 24-year-old.

Bennacer has blossomed in Milan since joining from Empoli in 2019.

Empoli signed Bennacer from Arsenal in 2017 for around £900,000.

Liverpool want to bolster their midfield in the summer window, while Chelsea could lose N'Golo Kante next year.
