Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has explained his final whistle meltdown after victory at Luton Town.
The veteran was seen angrily chastising teammates at the end of the 3-2 win. At one stage, Chelsea were cruising at 3-0 on Saturday.
"Every professional athlete will always be pushing themselves harder and thinking they can do better," he wrote on social media.
"In a competitive league, it's the details that secure three points. I just didn't want to spend New Year's like I did Christmas. Sorry."
The Blues sit 10th in the Premier League table, some 12 points off the top four.
