Chelsea may have to pay a team money even though they have not bought a player from them.

The Blues have spent enormous sums in the transfer windows over the past couple of years.

Now it is revealed that Moises Caicedo's ex-club Independiente del Valle are set to receive around 15.7 million as part of the deal that took him from Brighton to Chelsea.

According to Bolavip, the Ecuadorian outfit are entitled to a substantial portion of that fee.

This was part of the deal that brought Caicedo to the Premier League in the first place.

The Blues have lost a total of 271.4 million over the last three reporting periods, which could put them in hot water with respect to the Premier League's financial rules.
