The Athletic's David Ornstein is reporting Chelsea have made contact with Ajax for Kudus.
However, a bid is yet to be tabled.
Kudus is expected to depart Ajax this summer and is courting interest from across Europe.
He is one of many options Mauricio Pochettino is looking at to strengthen his side.
