Premier League giants Chelsea have ruled out a departure for Alfie Gilchrist this winter.
The 20-year-old defender started for the club against Preston in the FA Cup recently.
Gilchrist was praised by Chelsea legend John Terry, while he earned rave reviews at youth level.
Per The Standard, despite loan interest in his signature, Gilchrist is staying put.
The club may believe that he can get more game time under Mauricio Pochettino this term.
Spending the term training with the first team is also invaluable experience for the stopper.
