Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino gave an update on the future of veteran Thiago Silva.
The centre half played in the Blues' draw against Sheffield United on Sunday.
Despite scoring in the game, Silva could not prevent his team dropping points against the bottom team in the division.
Asked about Silva's future, Pochettino told reporters: "It's a thing that, at the moment, we are not talking about the future of the player in the squad.
We are competing and that is a decision for sure the club needs to ask and we need to talk and agree the future of the squad at the end of the season.
"Of course, he is one of the players we need to discuss. At the moment, so far, there is nothing. At the moment, we didn't discuss."
