Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed that it is less than ideal to be without two key midfielders for his pre-season preparations.
The Blues are in the United States for their pre-season tour, but they are not able to take N'Golo Kane and Ruben Loftus-Cheek with them.
Both players are unvaccinated, which means they cannot enter the USA under any circumstances.
Asked about vaccination status impacting future signings and present plans during pre-season, Tuchel said: "I know some players who I would also take without vaccination, I have to say.
"But yes, it is a part of daily life at the moment. Yes, it has to [come into your thinking].
"It is at the moment a very normal decision to get vaccinated. [Kante and Loftus-Cheek] took the decision not to. We need to follow the rules – they cannot join us.
"They know about the consequences. We don't like it, of course not. We would love to have them here and it's not an ideal solution. Far from ideal."
