Current pundit and former Rangers manager Ally McCoist states that Conor Gallagher would be the perfect signing for Newcastle United.
The Magpies are being linked with midfielders this winter or next summer, as Eddie Howe looks to strengthen his team.
Aside from Gallagher, there have also been links to Manchester United star Scott McTominay.
Speaking about Gallagher, McCoist told talkSPORT: "Conor Gallagher is the kind of player I think Newcastle would be going for, young, hungry. I think that would make a signing.
"The way he plays the game, as I said earlier, Newcastle fans would take to him. He's all energy, he's high energy, great effort, perfect."
