The Italy international is off contract at the end of the season and his agent Joao Santos met with Barca chief Mateu Alemany earlier this month at the Nou Camp.
Sport says while no offer was tabled, Santos assured Alemany that Jorginho would not consider anyother proposals until he's heard from Barca.
It was also made clear that Jorginho, 30, wishes to have his future well settled before the end of the season.
Along with Barca, Juventus are also keen on the Euro 2020 winner.
