Chelsea attempted to send N'Golo Kante to Juventus over the summer.
Tuttosport says Chelsea tried to set up a swap deal with Juventus involving Kante and Matthijs de Ligt.
Juve rejected the proposal before eventually selling the defender to Bayern Munich.
Kante's future remains in the balance, as his contract with Chelsea only runs to June 2023. Due to injury, he has made only two appearances for the Stamford Bridge side this season.
The France international is waiting for Chelsea to make a new contract proposal.
