Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was left to rue a pre-match prediction against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The American has not enjoyed the best of campaigns, his first since his consortium purchased the club.
Boehly, who hired and fired Graham Potter this season, was hoping his side could fight to keep their season alive on Wednesday.
Asked by a reporter ahead of kick-off about the result, Boehly confidently stated: "Chelsea's going to win. 3-0."
"I say have a lot of faith and we're going to win 3-0 tonight," he added.
"We look at this as a very long-term process and we had a lot of work to do. We're excited about the future. The future is bright and we're excited about tonight."
The Blue were beaten 2-0 by Real in the first leg of the quarter final in Spain.
