Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly was unhappy about the way that ex-coach Thomas Tuchel approached some transfer deals.

The American, who was heavily involved in the club's transfer work this summer, has fired Tuchel with immediate effect.

Most British media reports are stating that Chelsea are already speaking with Brighton coach Graham Potter about replacing Tuchel in the coming days.

According to CBS Sports, Boehly was unhappy with Tuchel not doing enough to convince players to join Chelsea this summer.

The likes of Raphinha and Jules Kounde rejected the Blues to join Barcelona instead.

They also clashed regarding the possible signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, who ultimately was not bought.
