The host of a talkSPORT show, Jim White, has received a message reportedly from Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.

The American came under fire this week after a report that he was regularly visiting the dressing room after matches.

He was said to have told the players a the display in defeat to Brighton was embarrassing, while his presence after games was confirmed by goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and manager Frank Lampard.

White received a message from a Chelsea owner on the matter, and he stated: "A short time ago, I won't give the name, but I can say it is from the Chelsea ownership and I'll paraphrase it. I asked is it fair or unfair for the ownership to pitch up in the home dressing room afterwards and have a dialogue with the players when things aren't going well?

"The message tells me 'I don't know if it's fair or unfair, but all we ask is the players fight for the fans who invest money, time and energy into the players. We care about winning on and off the pitch'."
