Chelsea are preparing a bid for Peterborough defender Ronnie Edwards in the coming days.
Football Insider reports that the Blues had scouts watching Edwards during Peterborough's game against Derby County on Saturday.
The 19-year-old is also wanted by Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
However, it appears Chelsea are the club that will snag the teenager before the transfer window closes.
The Blues have added several young talents to their squad, including midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka and goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.
Edwards has four England Under-19 caps, and is now into his third season as a first-team regular at Peterborough.
