Chelsea are making plans for incoming signing Gabriel Slonina.

The Blues have reportedly beat Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the race for Chicago Fire goalkeeper Slonina.

The 18-year-old is an exciting young prospect and Chelsea are looking towards his future.

Rather than join the west London club immediately, Slonina will be loaned back to Chicago for the remainder of the 2022 campaign, per football.london.

Following that initial loan, Chelsea must make a decision on what to do with Slonina.

They could follow the same method as Thibaut Courtois, who they loaned out for three years to Atletico Madrid after signing him from Genk.
