Chelsea are stepping up interest in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Birmingham Mail says Chelsea are looking to hijack a deal for Aston Villa ace and Arsenal target Douglas Luiz in the January transfer window.
Chelsea have also shown interest in Luiz.
The midfielder's contract runs out in June 2023 and it will be difficult for Villa to demand a high asking price with clubs eligible to begin pre-contract talks in January.
