Chelsea have not dropped their interest in Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.
Lavia joined Saints from Manchester City last summer and within weeks attracted a major bid from Chelsea.
Saints refused to do business, though Chelsea plan to try again.
Football Insider says City have a buy-back clause, but it doesn't become active until the summer of 2024.
Thus Chelsea are now hoping to secure Lavia's signature this coming summer.
