Chelsea are set to continue talks over Moises Caicedo after having a bid rejected by Brighton.

The Blues are eager to secure the signature of the Ecuadorian midfielder this summer.

Per the Evening Standard, an offer totalling 70 million with no add-ons has been turned down.

Brighton are not in the mood to sell Caicedo and have put a 100 million price tag on his head.

Chelsea have lost N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount in central midfield this summer.

The Blues must sign one or two midfielders if they are to give manager Mauricio Pochettino any chance of having a successful season.
