Chelsea have turned their attention to Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile after missing out win several centre-back targets.
The Blues' most recent setback was missing out on Jules Kounde, who is on the verge of joining Barcelona.
They have also been unable to sign Nathan Aké, Matthijs De Ligt, Nordi Mukiele and Presnel Kimpembe.
21-year-old Badiashile is another target for Thomas Tuchel, per L'Equipe.
Monaco are demanding at least €50m for the France U21 international.
