Crystal Palace saw their youth team lose in the FA Youth Cup to Chelsea last night.

The young Eagles were hoping to reach a Youth Cup quarter-final for the first time since 2009/2010.

However, they were denied by the nine-time winners, going out by a narrow margin.

Rob Quinn's Palace did begin the game in fine fashion, creating chances in the Chelsea box.

However, they were unable to take their chances, with Zach Marsh missing a sitter.

Chelsea were the ones who had the better of the second half, scoring twice via Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Tyrique George before the 70th minute.

While Palace did rally, they were unable to do more than get one consolation goal through Jesse Derry in the 85th minute.
