MALAYSIA has welcomed the arrived of a new pair of Giant Pandas named Chen Xing (male) and Xiao Yue (female) from China.
The pair landed safely at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 8.30pm yesterday.


In a statement, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) said Malaysia through the ministry continues the International Cooperation Project on Giant Panda Conservation with China.

"A new agreement was signed on April 16, 2025 in conjunction with the State Visit of the President to Maalysia.
"The Pandas will be in Malaysia for 10 years from 2025 till 2035,".

The Pandas were taken to the Giant Panda Conservation Centre at Zoo Negara upon arrival.
They will undergo a mandatory one month quarantine under close supervision before being shown to the public. - November 19, 2025
