Cheras Teen Reportedly Left With Fractured Skull After Assault by Peers, Four 14yo Suspects Arrested

The post Cheras Teen Reportedly Left With Fractured Skull After Assault by Peers, Four 14yo Suspects Arrested appeared first on WORLD OF BUZZ.

A teenage boy was allegedly left with life-threatening injuries after he was assaulted by a group of individuals at a residential complex in Cheras on 5 July.

The incident resurfaced after a one-minute and 13-second video of the attack began circulating widely on WhatsApp, sparking public outrage. The footage, believed to have been shared by the victim’s mother, allegedly shows her son being beaten by four teenagers.

All suspects aged 14 detained

Cheras District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud said police received a report from the victim’s mother at 12.45 AM on the day of the incident. Acting on the report, officers from the Cheras District Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Department (BSJ) arrested four local boys, all aged 14, to assist with the investigation.

Police also seized a mobile phone belonging to one of the suspects, which is believed to have been used to record the assault. The video is expected to serve as key evidence in the ongoing investigation. The motive behind the assault is believed to be the suspects’ dissatisfaction or grievance toward the victim. However, investigations are still ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

The victim reportedly suffered a fractured skull, along with internal bleeding in his head and right ear, leaving him in critical condition.

The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt. All four suspects have been remanded as investigations continue, with the investigation papers set to be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action, Malaysia Gazette reported.

The case has moved into the judicial process.

In a statement last night (21 July), the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Education Department confirmed that the incident occurred outside a school, on the ground floor of a public housing block.

The department stated that it takes the fight very seriously, and the police have completed their investigation. The case is now in the judicial process.
