Chery’s Tiggo models are powered by the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) system, which features a fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid-dedicated engine with a high thermal efficiency of 44.5%, a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), and an advanced 18.3kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, enabling pure EV driving and a comprehensive range of up to 1,200km. 

This engine powers new energy vehicles (NEVs) from Chery, such as the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV.

It is a core component of Chery’s Super Hybrid (CSH) technology platform, designed to maximise fuel efficiency while delivering strong performance.

Key components of the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) system: 

Fifth-Generation ACTECO Hybrid Engine: A dedicated 1.5L TGDI turbocharged engine known for its high thermal efficiency (up to 44.5%) and fuel-saving performance. 

Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT): A step-less, intelligent transmission designed for seamless power delivery and smooth, responsive driving. 

High-Capacity LFP Battery: An 18.3kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery that provides high safety, fast charging, and enables extended pure electric driving. 

Performance & Features

Combined Output: The system can deliver a combined output of 255 kW and 525 Nm of torque. 

High Efficiency: The technology emphasises efficiency, achieving up to 98% mechanical efficiency in the DHT and exceptional fuel consumption. 

Long Range & Pure EV Driving: With the battery, vehicles can achieve up to 90km of pure electric driving and offer a comprehensive driving range of up to 1,200km. 

Advanced Battery System: The LFP battery is certified to IP68 for dust and water resistance and can withstand high temperatures up to 95°C, according to Chery Malaysia.

Certified to IP68, this battery system is dust and water-resistant, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures up to 95°C, and supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes.
