Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina is signing a long-term deal with Chelsea.
Slonina, 18, has been in London for a medical at Cobham ahead of completing his transfer.
Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano states Chelsea have secured Slonina to a 6-year contract.
However, the goalkeeper will continue to play for Chicago Fire on loan.
This season Slonina played 23 matches and conceded 28 goals. He also managed 10 clean sheets.
