KUALA LUMPUR: Chin Hin Group Bhd is taking on the enterprise partner role at the GenAI Builders Meetup Kuala Lumpur to anchor efforts to move artificial intelligence (AI) from experimentation to real-world deployment.

The closed-door session brought together AI founders, engineers and enterprise leaders building and deploying generative AI solutions across industries. Organised by GenAI Fund, the regional series focuses on practical deployment, providing a platform for practitioners to exchange insights on implementation challenges, constraints and measurable outcomes.

Chin Hin, which operates across building materials, construction, property development and home and living solutions, grounded discussions in operational realities, including data readiness, infrastructure, workflow integration and return on investment.

The meetup focused on deploying enterprise-grade generative AI models such as Qwen, with discussions centred on enterprise readiness, governance, scalability and collaboration between startups and corporates. Participants highlighted a shift in the AI ecosystem towards solutions that deliver sustained, measurable value beyond prototypes.

“For AI to create meaningful impact, it must be grounded in real operational contexts,” said Chin Hin Group chief transformation officer Abel Saw, stating that such platforms enable direct engagement between enterprises and AI practitioners on responsible, scalable deployment.

The event also serves as a precursor to the GenAI Open Innovation Summit 2026, aimed at accelerating partnerships and scalable innovation across Southeast Asia.

GenAI Fund partner Kai Yong Kang said enterprise adoption remains the key challenge for AI, noting that collaboration between builders and corporates is critical to ensure solutions are practical and scalable.

Chin Hin’s participation reflects its broader push in digital transformation and cross-sector collaboration, as enterprises take a more active role in shaping how AI is deployed across industries.
