
LAHAD DATU: A 40-year-old from China suffered injuries after he fell off while working on board a ship from China in front of a factory in Co-Nelayan Jetty, here, on Wednesday.
A spokesperson from Sabah Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said the department received a distress call at 11.37am.
A team of personnel from Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue station rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team provided early treatment to the victim and carried the victim onto the land using a rescue boat belonging to Syarikat Eaga-Ocean Sdn Bhd. The victim was later handed over to Malaysian Health Ministry’s ambulance for further treatment,” he said, adding the operation ended at 12.27pm.
