However, she revealed that her boyfriend gifted her another Hermès bag after knowing that she scratched the bag, sparking discussions among netizens.
The woman, surnamed Gu from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, claimed that she had a severe argument with her boyfriend.
In a moment of anger, she used a sharp object to scratch the Hermès Kelly bag he had gifted her.
The yellow bag bore deep scratches on both sides, indicating the extent of the damage.
In an interview with Sina News, Gu revealed that her boyfriend had spent over 160,000 yuan (approximately RM105,000) on the Hermès Kelly bag from a second-hand luxury store. After their argument, she impulsively damaged the bag.
Realizing her mistake, she immediately sought advice from the Hermès store on whether the bag could be repaired but to no avail.
However, in a twist, Gu mentioned that her boyfriend later bought her another Hermès bag. Despite this gesture, she still felt the consequences of her impulsive act were too high.
