The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday carried out searches at multiple locations across several districts of the Valley in connection with a 2015 case relating to terrorist activities and support networks.
Officials said the searches were conducted under warrants issued by the Court as part of an investigation registered at Police Station CIK, Srinagar. The case pertains to alleged terrorist activities and support structures operating within the Valley.
According to officials, the searches targeted the residential premises of certain suspects identified during the course of investigation through analysis, source reports, and preliminary inquiry.
A senior official stated: “The operation was undertaken to collect evidence and seize electronic devices, digital records, and other incriminating material relevant to the investigation into alleged links with terrorist handlers and involvement in activities prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.”
