CIMB has announced scheduled maintenance for its debit card services later this month. As a result, customers will not be able to use their CIMB debit cards for payments during several early-morning periods.

To be clear on what’s affected, this covers all CIMB debit card purchases, both online and in-store, made through MyDebit, Visa or Mastercard. In other words, during these windows your CIMB debit card simply won’t go through when you try to pay.

Here are the dates and times to note:

DateDayTime down
19 September 2026Saturday12:00am to 6:00am
22 September 2026Tuesday12:00am to 7:30am
23 September 2026Wednesday12:00am to 5:00am

All three maintenance periods will take place early in the morning, so most users may not be affected. If you need to make a payment during this time, you can still use DuitNow, the CIMB OCTO app or CIMB Clicks, as only card transactions will be temporarily unavailable.

This is also becoming a fairly regular thing, as CIMB has run similar debit card maintenance a few times this year, including back in June. So if you rely on your CIMB debit card a lot, it’s the kind of exercise worth getting used to planning around. For anything important, the safest bet is to just get it done before midnight on those dates.
