CIMB Bank has announced a revision to the Bonus Points redemption rates for the air miles and points of selected airline and hotel partners under its Member Rewards programme. This latest update is set to take effect from 1 February 2024.
In a notice to its customers, CIMB noted that this revision will involve the redemption rates of six partners, with their new rates set to see an increase of 25% to 50%. The table below lists the airlines and hotels that are involved, along with the comparison of the old and new rates:
Meanwhile, other partners – such as AirAsia, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Cathay Pacific – will retain their existing redemption rate for now. Here’s CIMB’s current list of all its airlines and hotel partners for your reference, along with the latest Member Rewards catalogue.
Note that this revision will also apply to CIMB debit cardholders who had previously earned Bonus Points through their debit card spend, and wish to redeem their Bonus Points for Enrich Points. As of November 2023, however, CIMB had stopped awarding Bonus Points to all debit card transactions.
This update will also be reflected in its Member Rewards Programme terms and conditions document come 1 February 2024. Meanwhile, those who wish to redeem any air miles or hotel points before the revision kicks in can visit CIMB’s Bonus Points redemption page here.
