KOTA KINABALU: Police have received two separate reports involving paint being splashed on licensed moneylending premises in Api-Api Centre and Jalan Perpaduan, Kampung Air, believed to have occurred at night based on CCTV checks.
No injuries were reported, but the acts caused property damage and raised safety concerns.
Both cases are being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code, with statements recorded and site visits conducted to identify suspects.
Acting Kota Kinabalu Police Chief Supt Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman said firm action will be taken against anyone involved to safeguard public safety and order.
Police urged anyone with information to contact the nearest station.
