A clip of Lindsey Graham calling for the assassination of Vladimir Putin has resurfaced following the Republican senator’s death at the age of 71.
Mr Graham, an ally of Donald Trump, died on Saturday (11 July) following a catastrophic medical emergency linked to heart disease. He had just returned from Ukraine where he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Following his sudden death, a 2022 C-SPAN interview clip of the influential conservative has resurfaced, where he calls for the Russian president to be “taken out”.
“I don’t care if we send him to the Hague and try him, I just want him to go,” he said, calling on the Russian people to “rise up and end this reign of terror”.
