SHAH ALAM, Jan 8 — Almost 2,000 users have downloaded the state’s tourism app, Go Selangor since it was launched on April 14, 2022.
State executive councillor for tourism Hee Loy Sian said the number of accesses recorded was 6,820 times.
“We also expect a total of 1,000 operators to be registered by this March compared to 313 who were involved last year, consisting of food and beverage (F&B), lifestyle, ticket booking and activities.
“So far, the Go Selangor app has received relatively good feedback from users. However, there are some suggested improvements such as increasing the offer packages available,” he told SelangorKini.
Go Selangor is the only tourism app launched in Malaysia and is already available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The app, which was developed in collaboration with a local start-up company, Tourplus Technology, cost RM3 million, in line with efforts to digitise Selangor tourism.
Travellers from all over the world can easily access the state’s tourism products and it has become a one-stop centre for various accesses.
